March 11th, 2010 hair extensions pro No comments

Provillus is a new all natural solution that has actually been approved by FDA and is becoming more popular by the day. All the ingredients are clinically approved tropical remedies that can improve the hair growth by preventing hair loss problems. It blocks the DHT (Dehydrotestoterone) that acts as the main reason of baldness in most men.
Provillus is available in the market as a combination of liquid and capsule. As it contains no harsh chemicals that ruin your body system or hair, both men and women can use it effectively to treat their hair loss problems. It will not bring any side effects including sexual dysfunction that comes with many of the hair care solutions with chemical ingredients and that are now available in the market. The natural ingredients of this medicine will not harm the scalp or skin of the body of the person using it to cure his balding problem.
The key ingredients include Biotin, Gotu Kola, Magnesium Stearatern Muria Puania Pumpkin extract, Saw Palmetto, Silicon Dioxide, VitaminB6 and Zinc. All these natural ingredients of this product will act as an effective blocker that prevents DHT hormone from entering into the body of men. DHT hormone when it enters into the body of men will cause thinning of hair follicles that may ultimately lead to total baldness in men.
This solution is available for women also. It also does not contain any harsh chemical ingredients to harm the skin and scalp of those who use the product. All natural ingredients in Provillus for women are proven to be safe to be used as a solution for women.
When it comes to the hair loss problem of women we can see that there exists no specific pattern for hair loss in them. When compared to men it does not normally come in the younger age of women. Balding in women normally appears when they are getting older. The hair loss problem of women is most commonly associated with pregnancy, menopause and thyroid diseases.
The FDA approved tropical ingredients of this product are proved to be very effective to rejuvenate the hair follicles to stimulate hair growth level in women by providing optimal nutrition to women to make their hair grow healthy and fast.
This hair loss solution has been in the market for more than five years, is now known as an effective remedy to prevent hair loss. No side effect have been reported from the users of this product as yet.
Some other treatments that you may wish to try are two that many doctors will recommend, these are Propecia and Rogaine. Propecia is a strong chemical tablet that can have some intense side effects which is the reason most men choose to stay away from it. Rogaine is similar to Provillus, however it is not made from natural products and reportedly has headaches as a side effect for some men. Another herbal remedy however is Procerin which has been shown to also have no side effects but also doesn’t have the scientific backing or research to support their claims.

Why is My Hair Falling Out?!

March 10th, 2010 hair extensions pro No comments

At any single moment, at least 10 percent of the hair on your scalp is in a resting phase. The hair that is resting will fall out after a period of two to three months, and new hair will begin to grow in its place. The growing phase lasts between two and six years. During this phase, the average growth rate for hair is approximately one centimeter per month. At any single moment, approximately ninety percent of the hair on your scalp is in its growing phase. It is normally for you to shed each day as a part of this cycle, although there are people who experience hair loss at rates much higher than normal. This type of hair loss can affect everyone; men, women and children alike.
Excessive hair loss is caused by several factors, including illness or major surgery which cause stress-related temporary hair loss, hormonal problems, an under-active or over-active thyroid, childbirth-related hormones, medications like blood thinners, gout medications, chemotherapy, vitamin A, anti depressants and birth control pills. Infection of certain types can also cause hair loss, including fungal scalp infections in children. Underlying disease like lupus or diabetes may also cause hair loss. It is important to find out the cause of the excessive hair loss, to make sure it is not something that is detrimental to your health as well as your hairstyle.
Improper hair care can also cause excessive hair loss. Hairstyles or products that pull on your hair a lot can often cause traction alopecia, but your hair will grow back as long as the scalp has not scarred before the pulling has stopped. Hot oil treatments for hair and the chemicals used in perms may cause hair follicle inflammation which can also result in scalp scarring and sometimes permanent hair loss.
Common baldness is the term used to describe male-pattern baldness, or permanent-pattern baldness, the most common cause of loss of hair in men. Men typically inherit the pattern baldness trait, and some can begin to lose their hair at an early age. Hair loss typically results in a receding hair line and baldness on top of the head in male-pattern baldness.

The Relationship Between Stress and Hair Loss

March 10th, 2010 hair extensions pro No comments

“My hair is falling doctor, there’s hair on the bed, there’s hair on the comb, there’s hair everywhere, except on my head”- This may sound humorous. But it is true.
Before having a look at the term “normal hair loss” we should have a look at “hair” in general. An average head consists of 100,000 to 150,000 hair, which grows half an inch every month. Hair is growing due to rapid cell division at the base of the follicle and gets pigmented when it is pushed upwards out of the follicle.
The main cause for hair loss is stress. Stress and hair loss are just like twin brothers. Stress and hair loss are inter related. This is commonly noticed among people who gulp down coffee for breakfast, swallow the burgers for lunch and puffs the cigar to kill the stress.
Most of the youngsters are under severe stress because of an overdose of work. Stress and hair loss are the important factors to cause premature graying among the youth population. Your hair is the first part, which shows that you are in severe stress. Medication, imbalances in nutrition, and illness are the factors which cause stress and hair loss.
If you have been changed from one office to a new office, you may be in severe stress. At this time stress and hair loss can easily be visualized. Desire to earn and work pressure are the two main troubles causing stress and hair loss.
Lack exercise, hectic work schedules and most of the youngsters are running helter-skelter from one place to another. Working women are facing more stress from both home and job. Stress at home and at the working place have a drastic effect on food habits. Very often a lack of vitamins and thus hair loss is a result of wrong food habits.
Sometimes if you have undergone surgery for any ailment, your mind and body both are under severe stress and finally you may suffer from hair loss. This condition can be corrected automatically. So don’t panic because stress and hair loss are inter-oven elements.
In general, the young population of the world, if not taking green leafy vegetables, they will go for iron deficiency, which in turn lead to anemia and finally severe stress and hair loss.
Apart from stress and hair loss, there are other reasons for hair loss such as cosmetics. Repeated coloring, perming, shampooing with harsh chemical shampoos and straightening will damage the hair shaft and may lead to severe hair stress and hair loss.
Methodical treatment, including de-stressing, meditation, yoga, hair care advice, and correct nutrition will alleviate stress and hair loss problems. Relax, quit smoking, and manage your day better to feel lighter and fitter for impede stress and hair loss.

March 10th, 2010 hair extensions pro No comments

If you’re one of the many men or women that have hair loss or hair loss problems such as male pattern baldness or thinning hair, there are many treatments you can do to prevent or aid in the problem. Well over 95% of men have some degree of hair loss. By age 35 to 30 American men have some degree of hair loss, and by age 50 approximately 85% of men have thinning hair. This problem happens less in women but the problem still does exist. Men and women lose hair or have hair loss problems for different reasons.
Some of the reasons women have hair loss problems are because of diets, stress, hormones, or medications. As well as other things such as frequent shampooing, dying, thyroid problems, lupus or even improper hair care. Whereas in men hair loss is usually because of genetic reasons. Both men and women have several different treatments available to them. They can both use certain drugs such as Propecia, Rogaine, Lasercomb. If treatment is not available for your type of hair loss you can also consider other things such as, wigs, hair pieces, hair weaves, or artificial hair replacement.
In the other hand if you’re looking for more healthy way for hair loss treatments you can try that out as well. Depending on what you would rather use; medications and or drugs, or a more healthy route there are several sites you can visit for hair loss treatments as well as more information on hair loss. If you would like to visit some of these sites, you can try the following websites:
Herbal Remedies – This site, in my opinion is one of the best herbal sites online. They have several difference supplements that you can use for several different treatments and ailments.
Herbal-Supplements-Guide – This is a great site to visit if you’re looking for a guide and herbal supplements for hair loss as well as other things.
Healthology And WebMD – Both of these sites are terrific sites to visit if you would like more information on treatments, tests, symptoms, as well as cures for hair loss.
Hair Loss Talk – This site is an independently run, privately owned consumer hair loss information site focused exclusively on treatments backed by clinical evidence
The point of all of this, whether you decide to take it the medicinal way or the herbal way is that hair loss is reversible and can be helped.

The Art of Hair Restoration

It may not be obvious, but our hair serves an important function in our lives. First, the hair affects our overall image. Your hair length, hairstyle and hair color depicts your persona and fashion sense. Having great hair can also improve your general appearance and boost your self confidence. Other than showing your fashion statement, your hair also protects your scalp and your head. With these roles in mind, it is quite apparent why people should take care of their crowning glory. Here are some tips to follow in the art of hair restoration:
Eat nutritious foods and maintain a balanced diet
Make sure that you are healthy. Avoid going on crash diets as such often causes malnutrition. Note that poor nutrition can cause inadequate supply of vitamins needed to maintain proper hair care. Eat lots of food containing iron and protein since deficiency of these nutrients may lead to excessive hair loss. Also, make sure that you have adequate intake of foods rich in vitamin C. This way, you can promote your body’s immune system and prevent acquisition of various diseases which may induce hair loss.
Avoid excessive hair styling and hair treatments
You should handle your hair in a gentle and tender manner. Do not experiment with your hair every now and then. Recognize that dying, bleaching, and tinting your hair introduces damages to its thickness and luster, especially if such procedures are done in irregular intervals and/or intervals less than six months. Applying chemicals to straighten or curl your hair can also lead excessive loss in the hair’s natural moisture. Losing your natural hair moisture then causes your hair to become dry and dull. Note that dry hair and damaged scalp introduces hair loss conditions. Excessive brushing and tight hairstyles such as buns and braids can also promote hair fall.
Maintain a clean scalp
Keep in mind that your scalp can get infections as easily as your skin can. As such, it is important that you keep your scalp very clean. The best way to do such is to take a bath everyday and cleanse your hair and scalp with shampoo and water. Avoid being exposed to excessive smoke and dirt. Be wary of scalp infections since they do not only cause itching and irritation. More often than not, scalp infections invade your scalp and cause your hair to fall off in the infected portions. When infected, it is best to immediately consult your dermatologist and treat the infection with oral anti-fungal medications.
When taking medications that promote alopecia, opt for alternatives
There are certain drugs that induce baldness or hair loss. These include medications for psychosis, depression, infertility, arthritis, and heart complications. Aside from these drugs, medical treatment processes such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy for cancer patients can also cause excessive hair loss. In such cases, it is best to consult your doctor for possible alternatives to the treatment or to the required medications. However, be at ease with the fact that when you stop taking the drugs or when the treatment process ends, your hair will naturally grow again.

Hair Loss Is Hereditary Disorder

Hair loss is the disorder observed commonly in men and less frequently in women. Previously the occurrence of hair loss was known to be more in the middle-aged and old-aged men. But, now as per the recently conducted survey, about 34% of the young men are noted to be suffering with the baldness issue. This is where the problem of hair loss gets dangerous. So, lots of studies have been conducted in order to find the root cause of hair loss.

Many of the research scientists claim that hair loss is passed on from one generation to another with the help of the genes. To confirm this claim a study was conducted by International Institute of Hair Loss Studies. This study was a unique way to study the hereditary nature of hair loss. It included the three men of the family, a grandfather, a father, and a son. Getting the 3 generations of one family was difficult as only 12 families such condition we were able to collect data. Remaining 38 families we collected the data of father and a child and asked the information about the grandfather hair details.

All the data from the study was collected and then studied thoroughly, it was found from the data that in 60% of the cases the son was facing the problem of hair loss if his grandfather and father were bald. In 20% of the cases, irrespective of the grandfather and father being bald the offspring was not at all suffering with the hair loss. And, in remaining 20% cases sometimes a father or grandfather were not bald or in some cases both were not bald but still the son was facing the issue of baldness. From this study we can clearly understand that a person having baldness as a family history will be surely be prone to the hair loss double the times than a normal person doesn’t having any history of hair loss.

Hair loss is basically caused due to the abnormal hormone levels in the body. These hormonal imbalances are noted to be occurring due to the genes mutations. This occurrence of the gene mutations is observed more prominently in the individuals who have a family history of baldness. In other cases hair loss is noted due to the insufficient care of hairs. If at all you have a family history of hair loss then you need to take more care of your hairs as you have more chances of suffering with hair loss.

Hair loss can be prevented by taking a proper hair care. You must avoid too much oiling as it is not good for hair health. Also make it a point to wash your hairs at least twice in a week. Cover your hairs while to travel through the areas that are contains lots of dust. Also, make it a point to avoid the overexposure of hairs to the sun rays, specifically those during the afternoon. Wearing a cap or scarf can help you in this case. If you follow these hair care tips then despite of having family history of hair loss you would be able to keep your hair healthy and avoid the baldness problem.

Why Am I Losing My Hair

Several years ago I lost a tremendous amount of hair after, what I believe, was an allergic reaction to toxic ingredients in a product I used in my hair. I went to several professionals and received injections in my scalp for treatment of alopecia, but not one could give me a definite diagnosis or treatment for the severe hair loss. For about 8 or 9 years; I struggled to grow my hair back; and still to this day, my hair grows slower and thinner in the affected areas, although it is not very noticeable to anyone other than myself

Many women may suffer from some form of hair loss throughout their lives, especially a woman over the age of 40. Studies have shown that women in this age group can experience an average of 20% thinning throughout their entire head. (The percentage can be greater if a person had mishandled and chemically altered their hair for long periods of time). Other culprits for hair loss may be heredity, medication, illness or a hair disorders.

Heredity, medication and illness are all causes that can be easily noticed and diagnosed by a doctor, but disorders aren’t as detectable. Hair disorders range from hair shaft abnormalities, genetic hair disorders, alopecia, and infectious hair diseases; all of which can cause sudden, gradual, permanent, or temporary hair loss.

One of the most common hair shaft disorders is trichorrhexis nodosa, which is a focal defect in the hair fiber. The focal defect develops when there is an absence of the cuticle layer of the hair. This layer provides support against the daily elements the hair faces and protects the cortex. With the exposure of the cortex the hair weakens and becomes damaged more quickly and severely. Acquired trichorrhexis nodosa can be self induced by over processing and manipulating the hair as well has excessive use of heat and chemicals

A very common genetic hair disorder is Androgenetic alopecia, which affects both men and women equally. In men, this condition is known as male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness in women. Male pattern baldness generally shows with a receding hairline, while a woman’s hair becomes thinner throughout the top of the head, but the hairline does not recede. There are many medications and procedures on the market to assist in fighting these disorder

Scalp infections and infestations also cause hair loss. They are either caused by fungus, bacteria, viruses or parasites. Ringworm is caused by a fungus which will cause the hair to fall out, leaving only scaly skin. Folliculitis, or inflammation of hair follicle, is acne like and may cause redness around the infected follicle. As the folliculitis progresses the hair often falls out. Folliculities can be either viral, fungal, or yeast induced. Many of these infections are noticieable first by itchy sensation, inflammation, or soreness, but the site generally can’t be seen underneath the hair, so be careful when scratching, as they usually are contagious and can spread from scratching and breaking the skin

There are many more causes for hair loss in women; many of which are readily detectable. Sometimes if you are using the best products and taking care of your hair perfectly, you still may suffer mild to severe hair loss. I’ve included a brief list of possible medications that may be a culprit in hair loss as well as medical conditions

MEDICATIONS: Birth Control Pills, medication for the thyroid, blood pressure medication, blood thinners, and cholesterol medications.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS Anemia, Thyroid Dysfunction, Lupus, severe emotional stress…..

Note: These lists are by no means complete. If you are on any medications or are suffering any medical condition, talk to your physician about possible involvement with hair loss

The easiest place to start is making sure you are using hair care products that are void of the toxin and ingredients that may cause hair loss or damage. Natural hair care products such as Sweet Nature by Eddie (http://www.fabulousblackwoman.com) are all natural and have proven to help grow and maintain healthy hair.
